Brittany Enjoys Meeting Drivers Meridian, Idaho –
May 13, 2007
The Racing for Smiles of the Northwest (RFS-Nw) held its third event of the season.
Brittany, a seventeen year old junior at Mountain View High School, was the guest of honor Saturday Night at Meridian Speedway.
Brittany spent over an hour touring the pits meeting the entire group of ASA Northwest Sprint car Racing Association Drivers, getting their autographs.
Each driver took a few minutes of their time away from preparing their cars for the night’s races to spend with Brittany.
After meeting the drivers Brittany was treated to lunch provided by the Full Belly Deli in Nampa and received several gifts including a hat and t-shirts from the American Speed Association (ASA), Meridian Speedway, Lake Hazel Lanes as well as a set of racing flags from Blanton Racing Crafts.
Brittney then enjoyed some racing action.
In addition to meeting all the sprint car drivers Brittany was our first Racing for Smiles child to meet the Snake River Tire Factory Southern Idaho Legend Series drivers.
The Legend division has pledged their support of the Racing for Smiles of the Northwest program and proudly run our logo on all their cars. “They are a great group of drivers, they care about the children which make them a great fit with our program” stated RFSNw President Ron Hayes.
Doyle Hartman, speaking on behalf of the Legend drivers said, “We have a lot of cool ideas on how we can help the RFS-Nw Program and look forward to helping Ron and his group give the kids a great time at the track.”
Brittany thought the small cars were pretty cool and had a hard time trying to figure out how some of the tall drivers got in such a small car.
Ron went on to say, “We want to thank everyone for their time on Saturday night, especially those drivers that placed the RFS-Nw logo on their cars, with out the drivers this program could not be successful”. Thanks to RFS-Nw Associates and Sponsors, four fans received some prize packagesSaturday Night.
